TIME TO DO GOOD
WE NEED 15,370€
to bring art and a better educational environment
to the 75 pupils of the Arroyo las Canoas primary school in Colombia
The « Arroyo las Canoas » school puts all its hopes
on WATCH, its volunteers and international donors
to ensure the educational and creative flourishing
of 75 children
With your help, we aim to raise 15,370€ to fund...
In July 2016 WATCH aims to intervene in the primary school « Arroyo las Canoas » located in Colombia, on the side of the road going from Cartagena to Barranquilla. For years the school has been made up of miserable little houses situated around the village « Arroyo las Canoas ». In 2015 Dilian, the president of the village, managed to raise enough funds to build a real school, with a modern infratructure.
Today the school needs our help to bring essential school furnitures and resources to allow its 75 students from 5 to 13 years old to study there.
The limited funds of « Arroyo las Canoas » school prevents it from expanding the scope of learning of the children to artistic creation.
We want to provide the children the material and human resources to practice activities such as painting, dance and music. On top of fostering the kids’ self-expression and creativity, our aim is to use art as a medium for social unification, uniting the volunteers and the children and establishing a relationship of sharing and trust.
