Letter to our supporters
Hi everyone, we are extremely happy to announce you that WATCH’s intervention in Colombia was a huge success!
From the 2nd to the 16th of July 2016, a team of 12 awesome Colombian and international volunteers gave their time, passion and energy to the 75 pupils of the Arroyo Las Canoas primary school. The school is located in a lovely remote village about an hour drive away from Cartagena. During these amazing 15 days our team animated cultural and artistic workshops, organised a wonderful show and exhibition in the village, created access to clean water, brought school supplies and equipped the digital room. The kids have now access to drinking water, can wash their hands and go to the toilet in the school itself. They also have the resources to create and expand their full capacities. The digital room that we helped finalise will allow the kids and the whole community to have access to computers with an internet connexion. Our amazing experience and significant contribution to the school could not have been done without you and we thank you for that!
We also want to thank our sponsors such as Nuxe and BBVA for providing us with necessary material and funds. Finally we want to thank the Colombian families who helped us immensely from day one without whom this mission could not have happened.
We’ll follow up on the advances of the school throughout the year and keep you informed of any new intervention, fundraising round and exciting opportunities!
Lots of love,
The WATCH team
